The Wedding Business
A one day course that covers everything about the wedding day, full of
tips and packed with information about the business. Areas covered include
marketing, sales, presentation, product equipment and customer care.
Sales:
We will be going though everything that you need to know to successfully
run your business from home. By creating an environment where your clients
will feel relaxed and your products will be displayed, so no need for a "hard
sell" technique.
We will also discuss after-sales.
Marketing:
Where to market your business.
How much to spend.
How to succeed at wedding shows.
Product:
Quality - first and foremost!
Presentation, before and after the wedding.
How to sell to your customers.
Producing a range of products that will entice your customers.
Equipment:
Choosing the right system for you.
Planning and maintaining your equipment.
Obtaining a workflow, setting your system up.
Technical areas:
Colour correction and calibration.
Print quality and using profiles.
Finding the right software for your workflow.
Producing slideshows and general presentation.
Brief discussion about using Photoshop CS5 and previous versions.

An opportunity for you to ask me any questions about the wedding business.
This one day course 9am to 5pm is open to a maximum of 3 delegates.

Shooting the Wedding
This is a unique opportunity for one individual to
accompany
me at a real
wedding!
Rather than create a mock wedding scenario to photograph (which is always unnatural and more importantly will not give you a real experience of how to shoot a wedding) I offer one delegate the chance to assist me at one of my real weddings from morning to night.
What you will learn:
- How to prepare for the day.
- Planning the wedding shoot, timings, positioning etc.
- Seeing the day unfold and coping with any issues.
- How to take fantastic pictures with a minimum of fuss.
- Using available light and flash when needed.
This a two day course.
Day one will a half day (12-4) to discuss the day
in detail, prepare your equipment, talk about what picture we will take etc
etc.
Day two will be the wedding day itself, a full on day morning
until night!
Day three will be a half day (12-4) to debrief about the
day, go though your pictures, discuss any points you would like to make.
Cost £750 one to one tuition.

There is also an opportunity for an extra two day course for us to design
and produce a coffee table style wedding book for your marketing, using the
pictures you took at the wedding.
This is two full days with one to one tuition
(9am to 5pm) we
will cover:
Day one
- Processing your Raw images.
- Working in photoshop to produce stunning natural pictures.
- Colour correction - getting rid of ugly colour casts.
- Selecting the best pictures to use.
- Subtile enhancements.
- Back up and safe archiving.
Day two:
With your fantastic pictures we will design and produce a stunning album for your marketing and wedding shows etc.
- Preparing your pictures for album design.
- Using album design software and my unique page layouts.
- Uploading your album design and preparing for construction.
- Choosing the best cover, paper and style of wedding album.
- Latest trends and what brides want.
- Looking at extras and after sales.
- The opportunity to purchase your own album at cost price though Nikos Photography.
